Deacons
Deacons hold the office of sympathy and service.
In simple, but concrete ways, our Deacons minister to the needs of our church
family and community.
In the name of Christ we offer a word of encouragement, a prayer, a cup of
kindness, or a visit to those who are burdened or bowed low by the challenges of
life. We also celebrate the joys of life in Christ as we care for those who have
been blessed by our Lord.
OUR MINISTRIES-include:
- Grace Telecare-regularly calls members and friends of Grace Church via
telephone
- Correspondence with our church family at special times like birth,
death, key anniversaries and illness
- Food Pantry-offering food bags to those who need food
- Memorial Receptions following memorial services
- Home Communion-accompanying the Pastor in visits to our ill and shut-in
to bring Communion
- Roses when there is a birth or a death
- Sunday flowers delivered to ill and shut-in members
- Poinsettias at Christmas time and lilies at Easter time to our shut-ins
- Loan out Medical Equipment to those who need them
- Assistance to persons and families with special needs
- Grace Community Bulletin Board which lists items and services available
to our church family
