Coming soon! Mission Sunday, October 21, 2007Do you wonder what missions is? How does the committee spend money, what does the church support? Do you care? Do you want to participate? Don’t have a ton of time to give but want to help? Does all our money go to places we don’t know about? Or, do we do anything in our community?
We are so happy to have been able to ask Claude Wilson to speak on Mission Sunday. He is chairman of Los Ninos-the American organization that evaluates need, purpose, attitude and leadership of five orphanages in Baja, California, Mexico. The group then works to support financially through in-kind contributions and cash the work of these five orphanages. Los Angelitos is one of those five orphanages. With Claude we are happy to have Ed Perry speak, as he is the administrator of Los Angelitos orphanage. Ed is an American citizen who was orphaned as a child, too. He is a retired engineer. He is fond of saying that he was happily retired and playing golf every day when God called him to this ministry. Both of these men are completely dedicated to the job they are doing and we believe that they have an important message to share with you. Be sure to be here on October 21st. They will speak at both services. All the questions above will be answered for you that morning. |
